Ya, so, I had my first embarrassing moment in school the other day, OMG. It was in BLAW and someone mentioned Quebec seperating, and I of course think this is terrible, so I said "come on, we're part French, FART English...omg, of course, everyone laughed at me, and instead of crawling under the table to die, i laughed along with them and finished my statement, that we're a mix of both cultures, and so deal with it.
wow.

Ok, so, I'm still playing with colors, and I like this so far, but I'm wondering if the text is easy to read, or if the color should be not black...let me know

LOL- just had to share
Scenario:
You are driving in a car at a constant speed. On your left side is a valley and on your right side is a fire engine travelling at the same speed as you. In front of you is a galloping pig which is the same size as your car and you cannot overtake it. Behind you is a helicopter flying at ground level. Both the giant pig and the helicopter are also travelling at the same speed as you. What must you do to safely get out of this highly dangerous situation?
Answer:Get off the children's Merry-Go-Round, you're Drunk!

So not prepared
Well, had 2 tests today and BLAW went pretty ok, but OMG, Macro, I should have studied more. oh well. 2 more weeks and i never have to think about it again, right? SO cold today, minusfreakintwentysomething high, or is that low? whatever. So, do we have the best 'rents or what, hey? Jeremiah n I think we want to be totally irresponsible and spend most of it on a Nintendo WII, just so we can waste all our days playing Zelda instead of studying/working. Instead, we'll prolly buy cmas presents or put it in the bank for a mortgage pmt :( So, I am going for the Christmas Threw up in Here look this year, so far so good. got our little fake 3footer, just got lights and a star so far, printed off some cool ornament pics n stuff to put in the frames up around the house (took old pics out), hung up the really cool star chain thingy from A.Lucy, gold & red banners up on the curtain rod. Still wanna cover the bulletin board in the bathroom with wrapping paper and put cmas related quotes/jokes on it...I could go on forever... Ok, so, feel free to call n stuff people, especially those with free long distance n stuff...or at least chat on MSN with me. OK bye.

Cool Stuff
So, it's getting to the freakin' out part of the semester, the part where you have 3 more tests, 3 assignments and a paper due and finals start in 2wks. Any ideas for an ethics paper? gotta be on a company, and you basically show whether or not they're ethical, using their mission statement, code of ethics, newspaper articles, business practices etc. it's due on dec4th, ok? so, i could really use an idea like sooon. Finally got my hair cut, been procrastinating b/c it's $50. Bit the bullet yesterday and now my beautiful was at my waist hair is now 3inches shorter, but oh so much better. I do vow here and now not to go 9 months w/o a haircut. Braved the mall on sat., that was bad. We were there for 2 whole hours before we ran screaming back to the car and went out for an amazing dinner instead.
So, if you too feel the need to procrastinate, turn up the volume on your speakers and check these out:

ok, i have 2 tests tomorrow that i am really not very prepared for...Macroeconomics (who cares that the Federal Bank of Canada is a puppet, we all know that...i mean, they totally set policy) and i suppose i should be prepared for tort law (as if anyone would ever sue me!) but whatever, fine... i'm going...

Great Recipes
so, I made some fantastic brownies the other day, called "Grasshopper Brownie Cupcakes" and you should ALL try them sometime. I got the recipe off the back of a chipits mint choco chip package , but I'll copy it here for all you lazy people who don't wanna try tracking that down:
1. For brownie, melt 1cup chocolate mint chips (prolly you can use regular ones with a little mint extract, just add it after the melting step) with 1/2 cup butter. Stir in 1/2 cup EACH sugar and flour, 2 eggs and 1tsp baking powder.
2. mix until smooth, about 2mins. Pour into 24 large cups (realistically 11, why do they do that? like who actually gets the amount of the recipe you're supposed to?
3. Bake @ 350 degrees F for 15-18 mins or until cake tester (hello, toothpick??!!) has moist, not wet, crumbs on it. Cool.
4. For Grashopper mixture: melt 4cups of mini marshmallows with 3/4 cup of milk over LOW heat (yes, this was a stretch for me as there's only one setting in my cooking life and that would be MAX; patience anyone?maybe that's why there's always marshmallow lumps...). Remove and stir in 1.5 tsp mint extract (this part is critical, trust me, I may have accidentally dumped a whole bunch of mint stuff in and holy crap...not so tasty... better luck next time) and some green food colouring. Chill until cool but not set (I basically waited til I thought the whipped cream wouldn't melt) about 15mins.
5. Fold the mixture into 1.5cups of whipping cream, whipped (no vanilla). Top each cupcake with a spoonful (a serving spoon is still a spoon, right?) of the grasshopper mixture. Chill. (not an attitude statement, like, in the fridge). Makes (supposedly) 24 cupcakes.
ok, and another one I love:
ludicrous Speed Rice and Bean Bowl
and the amazing black bean salsa recipe from Maureen @ Pier1:
Black Bean Salsa
190z can black beans, rinsed and drained
1 large tomato, seeds removed and chopped
1/3 cup chopped red onion
1/4 cup chopped fresh coriander (I've only ever used about a tbsp of powdered)
1 cup cubed avocado
1/4 cup lime juice
2 tbsp olive oil
1 tbsp minced jalapeno pepper
1/2 tsp salt
Combine all ingredients. Chill 1 hour before serving.
So, that's all I gotta say bout that...try them out, let me know whatcha think
