88 Days to Go!

Face Wax

So, I FINALLY went in to get my eyebrows done this week. Pretty sure it’s been since last June, courtesy of my lovely SIL Jesse. The Asian salon near my house offers the job for $10 – sweet. So, I’m laying there, she does my eyebrows, then she starts waxing in between my eyebrows and my hairline… I hear “oh, just too many!” She then proceeds to wax halfway down my cheeks and my entire forehead!!! Not sure if it’s the pregnancy, or I’m just a hairy beast, but wow! She didn’t even have one of those super bright lights above us…As a plus, she didn’t charge extra. Guess next time I’ll just be booking the Face Wax for $30.

In other news, here’s a quick rather unflattering picture of me at around 20 weeks. Hopefully my other lovely SIL Tamara can get some more flattering ones this week.Perhaps now that the top half of my face has been waxed?! Maybe a little makeup and a hair straightener?

Even in 2 weeks (22 weeks now) my belly has grown! And, I haven’t gained ANY weight. Well, unless you count losing 10lbs and then gaining almost that amount back, but technically, I’m still at or below my starting pregnancy weight. Lets hope it continues this well!

Having lots of fun with the twins, they’re growing so fast. As they say, the days are long but the years are short. Look how much like little boys they look now!

Boys

My boys are just so adorable right now. Like Zeke, when he's excited he just can't contain himself and has to kiss you. Like when we're putting on jackets to go outside, zipping needs a kiss. And Quinn, he's started to tuck his head down, or close his eyes so "I can't see him". Too darn cute.

Poop and Christmas

Yup, that’s my life lately, poop and Christmas. How do they even GET poop up to their necks?!

Tried taking pics of them all wrapped up in lights, but it just didn’t happen like I wanted it too. Maybe next year…

I did host the TTMAC social this month ~ SO much fun, 12 of us were there, just sitting around chatting and drinking wine. I did grind beans for coffee but never actually made it, wine is the drink of choice! Looks like I need a wine rack for the first time in my life. Bought 4 bottles (2 red 2 white) and ended up with 5 unopened bottles and 2 partials! Sweet! That is, if I liked wine…

Also been busy Christmasifying the place. Pretty pretty.

Together

Starting young

First coat of the bright green is on, and BOY is it bright!

Actually, so far I’m loving the colour 2 more coats to go!

Celery!

A friend of mine posted a link on FB to growing your own celery from  store bought celery. I thought I’d give it a try, and so far, I’d say YES it’s possible! I just planted it in the ground today, so we’ll see how it goes.

Summertime

We had a LOVELY almost 3 week visit in PG; so nice to see everyone. I think my favourite part was getting to see most people more than once. It’s usually a whirlwind, so that was a nice change.
While I was Out
Not a lot of cooking went on…

But, we came home to a wonderful new subfloor with no squeaks. Picture this eventually painted grey, then a few years down the road a nice darker distressed brown wood floor with tile running from the front door through to the kitchen and out the back.

And all our stuff in the newly demo’d basement

That used to be a bathroom and a bedroom
This used to be enclosed, when ripping it out J discovered a TON of mold…. ewww

In the old bedroom/bathroom we created a clean little play area for the boys until we can get the upstairs all done

And my AWESOME friends surprised me with a painted wall

In other news, the garden we created in the back yard this year is doing GREAT

And we bought a Gazebo with Mosquito net sides so I can actually go outside!
